There is an unspoken truth that, when someone purchases an item, the package will eventually be opened. Occasionally there is a failure in packaging and it cannot be easily opened by the consumer. This leads to frustration and possible breakage of the product. Package designers must be especially vigilant to avoid this type of consumer problem. While the item may not be returned because it cannot easily be opened, consumers are a fickle lot. They may choose not to purchase items that are packaged so well in the future.
